• COHO Soccer Program

Richmond FC is excited to announce the second season of the Club’s partnership program with the Richmond Food Bank and COHO Commissary for low-income families in Richmond – Coho Soccer Program.

The program is targeted to families who are clients of the Richmond Food Bank but current RFC members who obtain Jumpstart or Kidsport funding to cover soccer registration fees are also welcome to sign-up.

This is a soccer program that helps Richmond families, children and youth access quality coaching, fun games and lunch for all families – free of charge.

Ages U4-U12 (2019-2011) are welcome to join and players will be divided up by age and ability. The Sunday program will be based on a soccer festival format (street soccer). There will be a warm-up component and small-sided games.

The inclusive free soccer program is scheduled as follows:
January 15th to March 5 (Sundays)
Boyd White (Francis Road and #1 Road)
Plus 2 weeks of Richmond FC Spring Break Camps

Included in the free registration is:
    • Uniform. (Jersey, Shorts and socks).
    • soccer games
    • coaching.
    • COHO Commissary will provide a free meal at the field for the families and players after the session each Sunday.

Players will need to have their own appropriate footwear – this could be soccer cleats or good tread running shoes.

Although the program is free, it is not a “drop-in” program. Weekly participation is expected.

If you are unsure if your family qualifies for the program, please send an email in confidence to admin@richmondfc.ca prior to registering.

(one registration per child is required)

Thank-you to COHO Commissary for their ongoing support.

  • Richmond FC – CSA Quality Soccer Provider

In June 2022, Richmond FC received the Canada Soccer designation of Quality Soccer Provider, demonstrating the ongoing committment to the Canada’s Club Licensing Program. The designation means that Richmond FC operates within the standards set by Canada Soccer and BC Soccer in the areas of  Governance, Administration, Infrastructure and Technical and is the first step in pursuit of the National Youth Club License.

Thank-you to all volunteers, staff, board members and officials for their time and commitment to Richmond FC and making this possible.
