With its start in 1955, the Richmond FC (“RFC”) has been the boys’ soccer club in Richmond for 60 years. 2015 marks the 60th anniversary of the Club.We provide soccer for players in youth leagues and men’s leagues.
In May 2014, the club rebranded as Richmond FC, but the legal name still remains Richmond Youth Soccer Association.
The RFC is one of Richmond’s two youth soccer clubs (the other being the Richmond Girls’ Soccer Association – “RGSA”) that comprise the Richmond Soccer Association (the “RSA”). The RSA is the district association and therefore Richmond’s youth member of the British Columbia Soccer Association. Richmond FC is a registered Society.
In early 2014, the Club conducted a “rebranding” exercise which included member surveys and focus groups. At the 2014 Annual General Meeting the Club’s new name, Richmond FC, and logo were introduced. As well, the board presented the following approved statements to guide the organization:
