WELCOME TO THE 30TH ANNUAL RICHMOND THANKSGIVING SOCCER TOURNAMENT HOSTED BY RICHMOND FOOTBALL CLUB AND RICHMOND UNITED SOCCER CLUB!
The Thanksgiving Tournament will run October 7-9, 2023 in Richmond, BC and will be open to teams U8-U18 (2016-2006). This site is for teams that identify as boys. For teams that identify as girls, please go here.
We acknowledge and thank the First Peoples of the territory of the hən ̓q ̓əmin ̓əm ̓ language group on whose traditional and unceded territories we play soccer and live, and upon where the Musqueam people continue their traditions and cultural education.

U8-U13 (2016-2011) Thanksgiving Festival
The U8-U10 Festival will run Monday October 9th, 9am-6pm. All players will receive a festival t-shirt. U8-U10 Divisions will be Development 1 and Development 2. All teams are guaranteed 3 games.
U8 = 6v6 (including goalie)
U9 = 6v6 (including goalie)
U10 = 7v7 (including goalie)
Games are 2 x 20 mins (4 minute halftime)
Tournament Registration Fee = $325
Registration Close Date = September 24, 2023
Draw will be posted on September 30, 2023.
The U11-U13 Festival will run Saturday October 7th and Sunday October 8th. 9am-8pm. All players will receive a festival t-shirt. All teams are guaranteed 4 games (2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday).
Divisions will align with the BC Coastal Soccer League:
U11 Div 1A & 1B and Div 2 A & 2B. 8v8.
U12 Div 1A & 1B and Div 2A & 2B. 8v8.
U13 Div 1A & 1B, Div 2A & 2B and Div 3 . 9v9
Game length = U11/U12 2 X 25 mins (5 min halftime), U13 2 x 30 mins (5 minute halftime).
Tournament Registration Fee = U11/U12 $375, U13 $425.
Registration close date = September 24, 2023
Draw will be posted on September 30, 2023.
U14-U18 (2010-2006) Thanksgiving Tournament
The U14-U18 tournament will be a competitive tournament with medals for the winner and runner-up of each age group/division. Games will be Saturday and Sunday, 9am-8pm. ID Cards and team rosters (uploaded by October 2) are required, so please be prepared. BCSPL teams or players are not eligible to participate in this tournament.
Divisions offered will align with the BC Coastal Soccer League:
U14-U15 Division 1, 2 and 3
U16-U18 Metro, Division 1, 2 and 3.
All teams are guaranteed 4 games, however format is dependent on number of entries at age group/division.
Game Length = U14-U15 2 x 30 mins. U16-U18 2 x 35 mins.
Tournament Registration Fee = U14-U15 $425, U16-U18 $500.
Registration close date = September 24, 2023
Draw will be posted September 30, 2023.
Refund Policy:
Refunds will be provided up to September 24 subject to a $75 administration fee. Refunds are not provided after September 24.
Team/Player Eligibility:
As a BC Soccer sanctioned tournament, entry into the 30th Annual Richmond Thanksgiving Tournament is open to teams that are properly affiliated with BC Soccer and/or other Provincial Associations. “Tournament Teams” are not permitted.
Teams from outside of BC must provide copies of approved travel documents, prior to the tournament, for their team/players from the Province of which they belong.
Only properly registered players, in good standing, shall be permitted to participate in the tournament.
Guest Players:
Teams may use a “pick-up”/guest player (e.g., a player who does not regularly play on your team) so long as the following criteria are met:
–> A player is not on the roster of another team participating in the tournament. A player can only play on one team in the tournament.
–> Player must be from same or lower division. Players cannot “play down”.
–> If a team is from BC and the player is not registered with BC Soccer, the team must apply for a BC Soccer Short Term Event Player Permit for the player a minimum of 5 business days before the tournament date (October 2, 2023).
–> Teams participating in the Thanksgiving Tournament, wishing to “pick-up” a player registered with another team, must obtain written permission from the team & Youth District and/or Adult League with which the player is registered. Players registered with BC Soccer must use the BC Soccer Player Participation Request Form. This must be submitted to the tournament by Monday October 2, 2023.
Team Rosters:
U14-U18 Team Rosters must be uploaded in the tournament system by October 2, 2023. ID Cards for all players and team staff are required.
HOW TO REGISTER:
- 1) Click the blue “register now” button located below and then Create a PowerUp account.
- 2) Go to Teams & Tournaments
- 3) Select your team(s) age groups/divisions (you can register muliple teams in different age groups & divisions at the same time, but if you have to register teams in same age group/division this has to be a seperate registration).
- 4) Enter Team Information (include City, Club Name and Team Name) and contact information.
- 5) After you have registered, you will be able to go back to each team you registered and amend team information such as contacts, jersey colours, etc……
