The Richmond FC Spring Open (Recreational) Development Program is open to girls and boys born 2017 to 2003 and is a new and exciting soccer program which ensures every child has fun while developing soccer and physical literacy skills. The ODP program also uses soccer as a vehicle to develop social skills and core values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, fair play and respect. The program includes 3 sessions a week (2 training sessions and Saturday games). Programming is developed by Richmond FC Acting Technical Director, David Thorburn.

Programming will run April 6 to July 17 (no soccer on April 5 or May 24).

Saturday games times will be dependent on what Provincial Health Orders are in place at that time. Current PHOs do not allow for more than 50 people on a field, and this impacts playing times as there are more than 50 players in each age group, so an entire age group cannot play at the same time. Proposed range for Saturday games times are as follows (1 hour in listed time).

U4-U6 = 9am-11am

U7 = 11am-1pm

U8 = 1pm-3pm

U9-U10 = 9am-12pm

U11-U12 = 9am-1pm

Once registration closes and the number of teams are determined as well as any revision to PHOs are communicated from the government, more specific Saturday playing times will be circulated out. Until then, this is the club’s best approximation. Thank-you for your patience.

For U13-U18, game times are determined by the Cascadia Spring Soccer League and this will be available to club’s after April 2.

♦ Player placement requests are taken for those born in 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014.
